MISSION

☒ Initiate and lead research and innovation projects for both passenger and truck tires 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

☒ Drive research projects according to the strategy roadmap to support both replacement and OE project needs

☒ Manage benchmarking activities

☒ Improve the current state of the art (tools, methods, knowledge, ...)

☒ Act as technical expert and mentor, linking the tire performances to tire design

☒ Rubber and cord material testing and parameter identification

ACTIVITIES

☒ Person in charge for research projects

☒ Investigation of technical problems, root cause analysis, documentation of findings

☒ Drive and coach junior engineers working on research projects

☒ Act as technical advisor for replacement and OE projects

☒ Participate in the validation of new design/simulations

☒ Organize the capitalization of knowledge and know-how within research

☒ Provide technical trainings

PRE-REQUIREMENT 

☒ Master’s degree in mechanical engineering

☒ Minimum 5 years of recent relevant experience in tire industry

☒ In-depth knowledge of tire design, materials, manufacturing processes, and tire performances

☒ Working knowledge of tire testing (indoor and outdoor)

☒ Familiar with FEA analysis

☒ Working experience of DOE

☒ Project management skills

☒ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
